High Uintahs Taxidermy is a studio that is experienced in handling trophies taken from all areas of the world,and is a family-based operation that works around a team principle.

Dean Schulte, owner and lead taxidermist, guarantees quality standards. Dean handles all conceptual design and quality control, along with being involved directly on the shop floor as lead taxidermist. The staff consists of 3 full time taxidermists, two technicians and one office manager.

Each trophy is treated as an individual work of art and craftsmanship, not a mass produced item. Proper design, engineering and composition are the primary goal at High Uintahs Taxidermy. With our facility being a U.S. based operation, quality control standards and accountability are realistic factors that a person is wise to consider when choosing their taxidermist.

Experience & Craftsmanship

Dean’s work has taken awards at National Taxidermist Association sanctioned competitions at state, regional and national levels. This has been accomplished with a diverse assortment of African, Asian, European and North American species of game in all divisions, from shoulder mount to multiple life-sized pieces. Dean has also won awards at Safari Club Competitions. He is a National Taxidermist Association “Award of Excellence” recipient, a Utah State Certified Master Taxidermist, and a National Taxidermist Assn. Certified Judge. All taxidermists employed at High Uintahs Taxidermy have won awards for their work.
